Next 5 games - points?
Our next 5 games are:

2 April
Southampton (h) - absolute must win for us - we can do this lot at home.

Wednesday 5 April - could we get something?- draw
Newcastle (h)

Saturday 8 April - This season the league position says we lose (but you never know) - loss
Fulham (a)

Sunday 16 April - no chance - loss
Arsenal (h)

Saturday 22 April
AFC Bournemouth (a) - draw i reckon

Given how shit we look does predicting 5 points mean i need my head examining?
31 games and 29 points means we're really in the shit

Surely too late to change managers now so we're completely jiggered..

Aren't Fulham's best 2 players suspended now against us due to today's red cards?Very winnable game now if so,plus they have Diop at the back.

Need at least 8pts from this lot…

Depends on Moyes’ approach…

Need to be proactive and shoot on sight…

I despair Moyes will go all defensive as usual

Need goals from. Scamacca Paqueta Ings Antonio Bowen Benni…

I'd hope for at least 7: beat Southampton and Bournemouth and a draw at Fulham...
With Moyes still in charge we'll be lucky with three points.

We'll get 10 points.

between 3 and 6 (3 of those need to come from soton)

I'd bite your hand off for 5 points. It's not enough, but I'm expecting 2/3

Re: Next 5 games - points?
6 or 8 points, assume we beat Southampton as that’s a must win. Then 3 draws from Newcastle, Fulham and Bournemouth gets us to 6 points, or 8 points if we can beat one of them

Re: Next 5 games - points?
Mitrovic will be out as he’ll get 3 game ban but Willian will only get 1 game so will be eligible to play.

Let’s face it we have the team and players to win all 3. It’s a pretty much fully fit squad barring Coufal - however we have the energy vampire who is calling the shots.

He’ll persist with the fucking pointless Soucek, won’t change from his defensive tactic and only try to score from crosses.

If he put out an attacking team and utilised our best and most creative players we would stay up at a canter - he won’t though we’ll be respecting the point and hoping that Soucek wins a header.

4 points more likely.

Beating Southampton is no forgone conclusion though like some think.

In 3 games time we will know if we are going down or not.

Fucking hell had a nightmare there - thread is next 5 - I didn’t look properly and read it as 3!

Re: Next 5 games - points?
charoo agree 100%. Next 5 will tell us a lot more about our chances overall, but I think if we're staying up it will be confirmed with a game or so to spare. I'd prefer not to have to go Leicester needing a win with this 'respect the point' manager in charge.

Re: Next 5 games - points?
I am certain of thing. If Moyes continues his exceptionally defensive tactics and doesn't have the guts to play attacking football then we are doomed to championship football next term.

If we fail to beat Southampton then we are doomed, but it will give us a chance to fuck Moyes off and to rebuild our squad. A cloud in every rainbow.

6 points over the next five games, and that is very optimistic.

Re: Next 5 games - points?
Not much point in looking past the Soton game really, but on paper not the hardest 5 games, Fulham are slipping imo, plus Mitrovic is out and we have a good record there, Bournemouth are Bournemouth ffs, and Newcastle seem to be picking up again a little but a point is def possible. Also worth noting we pretty have a fully fit squad now. 6-7 points.

Are we shit? Yes.
Are we going down? I don't think so.

Re: Next 5 games - points?
4 points minimum - 7 maximum.

Have to beat Saints - so no free kicks conceded centrally within 30 metres for a Ward-Prowse benefit.

Reckon we'll finish up with 36 points and 16th (he says hopefully): Forest, B'mth and S'ton heading south.

May even be that our GD saves us?

Mike Oxsaw 7:07 Mon Mar 20
Re: Next 5 games - points?
We may well have the talent in the squad to stay up - but just watch Moyes hammer all the hope and ability out of our talented "square pegs" as he continues to force them into the "round holes" of his tactics.

It's almost as if he's got something to prove by sticking to his tactical guns.
